IN a way it's a little strange that we're still talking about green pioneers. Surely the whole environmental crisis has been around long enough for us not to need pioneers any more.
So there's no need for the media, and to be more specific magazines like this one, to be raving about people who've come up with a planet-friendly product. But the sad reality is people like Oliver Heath, Hazel Selina, Lucy Brewer and Jo Fairley are still the exception and so we make no apology for singing their praises. They're an inspiration to all aspiring entrepreneurs because not only have they made their businesses green, they've also made them profitable and as a result sustainable. You'll find their stories beginning on page 112 in March's issue of Sussex Life.
Also in this issue, starting on page 104, you'll find a great guide to the county's best markets. As the weather warms (it will, honest) and the skies begin to brighten (see earlier faith in weather), it's a great time to go looking for great food, drink, furniture and more. We've uncovered great buys from everywhere from Midhurst Farmers' Market to Brighton's car boot sale.
You'll also find a great mix of spring walks on page 126, a packed Homes and Gardens section beginning on page 155, fashion ideas for the new season on page 188 and delicious recipes on page 211 - and see what Sussex Life readers made of the new Jaguar XF on page 252.
And finally we've got a bottle of bubbly up for grabs for the best reader letter. Turn to page 14 in this month;s issue to see how to enter. But if you can't wait for your thoughts to be published in the magazine you can always log on to our forum where you can add comments , respond to stories from the magazine and let's be honest, write about anything you like - it is your forum after all.
Have a great month and enjoy your Sussex Life.
P.S. Well done to Olive Beaumont from Eastbourne who won the Tag Heuer watch competion in the January issue. Click here for the chance to win a bathhroom worth 3k
