Volunteers smashed the NatWest CricketForce record of painting a fence in under 40 minutes at Bognor Regis Cricket Club.

The 300m, 98 panel fence was painted by 155 volunteers in 22 mins and 15 seconds, a new ECB NatWest CricketForce record.

Sporting celebrities at the event that lent a hand included: Managing Director of Cricket Partnerships Mike Gatting OBE; England cricketers Chris Tremlett and Holly Colvin; MCC president and former Sussex captain John Barclay; and local Sussex cricketers Chris Liddle and Jordan Rollings.

Key changes to the club include a new electronic scoring board, new changing facilities, a new double garage and conservation work.

There were over 200 volunteers on the day.

There was support on the day from the Build Center, Dulux Paint Centre, Beaver Tool Hire and Townforce.

Bernard Burns, Chairman of Bognor Regis CC said: We had a fantastic day and were overwhelmed by all the help we received from volunteers. We would like to thank everyone who came along.
