Seaford Musical Theatre Juniors (SMTJ) were named winners at the Celebration of Sussex Life Awards 2015 and they are continuing their good work by planning and hosting ‘Just Because’ children’s events in conjunction with Children With Cancer (Polegate) and Teddy Treats Children’s Charity

Many children suffer illnesses, such as childhood cancers or see their parents fall victim to this cruel and relentless disease. Bereavement and trauma also leave lasting scars on young people. A ‘Just Because’ party gives children happier memories during troubled times and gives them the opportunity to mix with other young people who understand what they are going through.

The events aim to bring families together for a magical experience - adults being able to socialise with others who understand what they, or their children, are going through and giving young people happier memories to cling on to during darker times. The ‘Just Because’ party will also link charities with similar aims and goals to create a better network of support in the community. ‘Just Because’ every child deserves to hold on to their dreams of happier times.

SMTJ are looking for businesses and individuals to sponsor events in 2016 and bring some light into the lives of deserving children. For more information, please contact Director, Paula Woolven at paulawoolven@hotmail.com or call 07710 426321
