Forty five Roedean girls travelled to the Kids Company Headquarters last Friday to deliver over 650 gifts and presents for the Kids Company Christmas Party.

They spent the day making decorations and wrapping presents for the Christmas Day event that will be attended by over 4000 children and their families from across London. Camila Batmanghelidjh, Founder of Kids Company has been working with Roedean since visiting the school for the annual Speech Day in 2013.

Since then girls at Roedean have bought over 500 Christmas coats, have hosted twenty five boys and girls for a day of rocket launching, hot air balloon making, cooking and trampolining, and are about to welcome another group of children for what will be, for most of them, their first trip outside of London.

The generosity, warmth and desire to make a real difference could not be more evident. In Camila’s words: “I wanted to say how much I appreciate the incredible help the girls gave us. They were so, so, so lovely, a joy to work with, as well as an amazing credit to the school. We are really grateful for the presents, which are indeed of the highest quality. And the artwork they did was also delightful!”
