McIndoe Surgical Centre is collecting unwanted bras to help raise money for charity

McIndoe Surgical Centre in East Grinstead is collecting old bras to raise money for breast cancer research.

BreastTalk.co.uk raises money for breast cancer research by giving the bras they collect to BCR Global Textiles. BCR sells them to traders in third world countries which helps support and supply their own local economy. This creates employment in poorercommunities.

BCR Textiles pays 1 per kilo of bras collected and sends a cheque directly to UK charity Breast Cancer Campaign. BreastTalk.co.uk does not handle any moneys raised nor do they take any admin fees - every penny is donated.

So far their bra appeal has helped raise 6727.

What Types Of Bra Can You Donate?
- Any style - but not too sexy or see through.
- Any size - especially very large or very small sizes.
- European sizes.
- Maternity or Nursing bras.

If you would like to help us raise the amount of bras collected for Breast Cancer charities andhelp third world countries, please bring your old bras along to McIndoe Surgical Centre in Holtye Road, where you can drop them off throughout August. At the end of the month,McIndoe Surgicalwill package up all donated brasand send them to Breasttalk for their appeal.
