Beat the post-Christmas blues by joining the Brighton Half Marathon

Disability charity Scope is looking for runners to join its 200-strong team for the Vitality Brighton Half Marathon 2016

The race, on 28 February, has a picturesque seafront course and is the perfect start to a the New Year as one of the first and most popular in the running calendar.

More than 12,000 runners are set to take part in next year’s race, known for its flat, fast course along the Sussex coastline.

Team Scope runners will receive support from start to finish with training plans, nutrition information and top fundraising tips. The funds they raise provide a lifeline for disabled people and their families.

Emily Worsley, head of events and community at Scope, said: “We’re looking for runners to join our team and help us continue our work changing the lives of disabled people and their families.

“Our runners can expect the loudest cheers of support along the route, a hero’s welcome at a post-race reception and a well-deserved massage.
