Sussex Crimestoppers raised more than 15,000 at its second annual fundraising event, appropriately a murder mystery evening at the Grand Hotel, Brighton.
To mark its Brighton setting, the event had a Mods and Rockers theme. Bestselling novelist Peter James, in a collarless Beatle suit, told the guests why Brighton was so ideally suited to crime and Chief Constable Martin Richards, a classic parka-clad Mod, then explained how Sussex Police were catching the crooks with the aid of Crimestoppers!
Afterwards, everyone enjoyed solving the mystery and interacting with the witnesses as well as bidding for money cant buy prizes such as getting your name in Peter James next crime novel.
