Green-fingered enthusiasts throughout Sussex are celebrating after scooping top prizes at the South and South East in Bloom awards.
Claiming the top spot, Rustington in Bloom took home the gold for the town category, and also scooped the champion of champions prize. The small town award went to Crawley (just beating Horsham), and Chichester and Littlehampton
were also honoured.
400 guests attended the awards ceremony at The Grand in Brighton, including Sussex Life's editor Jonathan Keeble, who presented Rustington in Bloom representative Valerie Narayanaswamy with their trophy. She said: "It's been a brilliant experience and has brought the whole village together. Everyone has worked so hard, so to receive this award is wonderful."
