Thousands of people enjoyed this year's RAFA Shoreham Air Show

Thousands of people enjoyed this years RAFA Shoreham Air Show. Highlights included aerobatics by the Blades, a parachute display by the Falcons, a flypast by the iconic Hawker Hunter jet and Christian Moullec accompanied by his geese.

And, of course, there were plenty of memories of the Battle of Britain including a flypast by the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight, made up of a Hurricane, Spitfire and Lancaster bomber.

Among the famous faces were Show Patron Jayne Torvill and actor Donald Sinden.

Next years Show will be on Saturday and Sunday 1 and 2 September. This is because of restrictions of UK flying space due to the Olympics.

Don Bean Airshow Organiser said: We plan to make the event a fitting tribute to this Olympic Year.

Since the Show began, it has raised more than 1.5million for the Royal Air Forces Association.
