The Extremely Enormous East Sussex Supper
Friends of East Sussex Hospices have launched an ingenious way to help raise vital funds for local hospices.
All you have to do is to invite some friends for supper, feed them local produce and charge them for the privilege. Evenings could range from a casual supper to a five-course candlelit black-tie soirée.

A Truly Scrumptious Affair

The Apple Affair is a family event for all ages, offering an array of apple-based foods and drinks to taste and buy, as well as activities for children including apple bobbing and the ever-popular Big Draw art competition.
Both West Dean House and gardens will be open during the event, offering visitors the chance to take a peek behind the grand doors of West Dean and see more than 100 varieties of apple grown in the Victorian walled kitchen garden.

The Martlets Noon Walk
Are you man enough for a men-only 13-mile sponsored walk? Last year the guys raised more than £10,000.
This year Martlets Hospice in Hove needs to treble that total.

Re-live the 1066 Battle of Hastings

Re-live the atmosphere and tension of the great battle as more than 400 soldiers clash in the annual re-enactment of the 1066 Battle of Hastings, on the very battlefield where it all happened. Immerse yourself in medieval life as you stroll around the living history encampments and take an entertaining look at the Bayeux Tapestry on a washing line!

Romanian-born concert pianist Radu Lupu started piano lessons at the age of six and then a mere six years later made his public debut with a complete programme of his own music. During his 40-year career he has performed with all the great orchestras of the world and become one of the foremost pianists of his generation. He is giving a special solo piano recital to open a new series of year-round chamber concerts in Brighton Dome's Concert Hall.
