PAST pupils, staff and their families enjoyed Great Ballards celebration of its Golden Jubilee at Eartham House.
The day started with a service of thanksgiving led by Marian Curtis the Priest in Charge of Eartham/Madehurst/Slindon, who gave an uplifting sermon. A volunteer choir sang with real enthusiasm and Sarah McNally gave a very accomplished flute solo. The service was also broadcast to the congregation outside the church.
Then everyone enjoyed the rest of the day in sunshine at Eartham House, where the school arrived in 1961 after a number of different homes since its foundation in 1924.
The school thanked Tracey Carr for her history of the school and Jonalyn Mills for organising the whole event and gathered much of the memorabilia on show in the school gym.
