BEST-SELLING author Peter James came face to face with the inspiration behind his much-loved crime stories at a special charity event recently.
James, who has written a series of novels based in and around Brighton such as Dead Simple and Not Dead Enough, appeared at the event in support of the Sussex Community Foundation. As well as revealing some of the secrets behind his work, he also met David Gaylor, the real life detective behind his fictional character Roy Grace.
Sussex Community Foundation raises funds to support charities in and around Sussex and organised the event to promote the government's endowment challenge - a scheme that will match pound for pound all donations made to its endowment fund in the city.
