Known as the premier one day agricultural show in the south east, the Heathfield Show brings an exciting day out for the young and old. This year's show will be on Saturday May 23 at Little Tottingworth Farm, Broad Oak, by kind permission of the Trustees of Mr & Mrs D W Browning. The show has become a 'must do' in the diaries of country loving people, both locally and from further afield.

Last year's show was the most successful event ever. The organisers are working hard to ensure that the 2009 Heathfield Show is equally good, if not better.

Attractions in the main arena include the return of the monster trucks. Steve Murty will once more be bringing his 'toy', the Armageddon. This monster weighs in at seven tonnes and will destroy anything in its path. So brace yourself for the noise and the excitement at the 2009 show and a drag race between two humungous machines.

Phill Gibbons and his trained team of lurchers offer an insight into the fascinating world of coursing. See the lurchers racing across the arena in pursuit of the illusive electric hare, no matter what breed of dog you have they can all join in the fun with Phill and his team of lurchers. See one of Phill's lurchers in a race against one of the fastest accelerating birds of prey in a straight dash across the arena. Fast action and fun for all the family - not to be missed!

The Gorilla Man will be wondering around the Showground throughout the day, try and find him and free his prisoner - beware he doesn't catch you and put you in his cage!

The theme for this year's Floral Arrangement Show will be "Environment" and offers competitive classes for all stages of flower arrangers. The Flower Marquee is one of the must sees at the Show - absorb the fragrant scents and spectacularly colourful displays.

Maintaining its strong embedded history of agriculture the Heathfield Show still has 10 sheep, cattle, pig and horse competition rings being used throughout the morning and early afternoon to ensure there is plenty for all the family to see and do. Heathfield Show has been chosen as a qualifier show for many major horse events throughout England. We are proud to have been chosen as one of the qualifier classes for the Veteran Horse Society Showing championship. Throughout the day events include the grand parade of livestock, the horse show, working steam, Country Ways, a local Craft marquee, the shopping arcades, and ever changing displays in the main arena, there is also a Flower Show and Farmyard.
