Chestnut Tree House, the only childrens hospice in Sussex, held a special luncheon for supporters at Deans Place Hotel in Alfriston.
Guests heard more about the work of the hospice and how they can continue to support the hospice in future. Local businesses and organisations represented included Brewers, Mayo Wynne Baxter, the Athena Network, and East Sussex branches of the Rotary Club. Also among the guests were Julie Cowell, local dignitaries including the Mayor of Eastbourne Carolyn Heaps, Peacehaven Mayor Chris Ogden and Tim Voyce, Mayor of Polegate, and Chestnut Tree House Patrons Ambrose Harcourt and Michael and Maureen Chowen.
Sue Berry, whose son, Matthew, is a regular visitor to the hospice, was able to give guests a first hand account of how Chestnut Tree House helps her family and what the hospice means to her and Matthew.
