The school hosted a networking dinner to give all sixth form students the opportunity to practise their business rapport in preparation for their future careers
Burgess Hill School for Girls hosted a networking dinner to give all sixth form students the opportunity to practise their business rapport in preparation for their future careers.
Guests were invited from a wide range of professional backgrounds and included Minister for Children and FamiliesTimLoughton, the MP for East Worthing and Shoreham, and Francesca Happ, a Professor of Cognitive Neuroscience.
The event involved welcoming drinks and a three-course meal in the school dining hall which was transformed for the occasion.
Guest speaker Pat Langham, CBE, former head of Wakefield Girls High School and a President of the Girls Schools Association, gave an entertaining account of her career and the lessons learnt along the way.
Lower sixth student Georgia King said: The main message I took from the evening was that the most important aspect of our future is to enjoy every opportunity that is passed our way, as we dont know where it might lead us.
