30 May-14 June - Adur Festival
Sixteen days of non-stop art and culture, with community events across Adur and a district-wide street party on 13 June, with professional street theatre performances from across the globe. The theme this year is Food of Love.

4 June - Damsels and Dragons
Sussex Wildlife Trust
10am-4pm. Sussex Wildlife Trust presents the perfect day for anyone interested in dragonflies and damselflies. The morning begins with a presentation by Mike Russell, with tips on identification and the best places to spot these winged wonders in Sussex. The afternoon will be spent outdoors on a field trip around Woods Mill nature reserve near Henfield looking out for a glimpse of these spectacular signs of summer. Booking for ‘An introduction to dragonflies and damselflies’ is essential.

Three Friday Nights - Goodwood Racecourse

Actor and DJ Idris Elba, Gorgon City and 2manydjs will each take centre stage at Goodwood Racecourse to perform as part of Three Friday Nights; a vibrant combination of racing, music and dancing.
After dark, heels will replace hooves as the Parade Ring transforms into a unique music arena. Thousands of racegoers will flock to the stage after an afternoon of racing for an evening filled with music and dancing at one of Britain’s most picturesque racecourses, nestled within the heart of the Goodwood Estate’s rolling countryside.

11-13 June - South of England Show
South of England Centre, Ardingly
The 150-acre showground will be alive with hundreds of competitions and entertainment for all ages and has been divided into eight specific zones this year. These include; Food and Drink, Livestock, Countryside Learning (incorporating Wildlife, Farming and Forestry), Machinery, Garden, Plants and Flowers (incorporating Bees and Honey), Equestrian (including a new Heavy Horse Village), Skills and Craftsmanship and Country Sports (incorporating The Hound Show).

13 June-12 July - Festival of Chichester
The festival celebrates music, literature, talks, art exhibitions, theatre, walks, film and more. 14 June - Fletching Garden Trail
Near Uckfield, East Sussex
Gardens open from 11am-4pm. The Fletching Garden Trail offers visitors much yearned-for access to immaculately kept herbaceous borders, stunning views across National Trust land, and homemade lunches under ancient oak trees. Enjoy Clinton Lodge, ice creams, alpacas, activities for children, local artists, raffles, crafts, plant stalls and more. Tickets £6, children go free.

16 June - Music@Ardingly Concert Series

19 June - Midsummer Magic
Parham House, Storrington, near Pulborough
6pm-9pm. Visitors will be able to experience the magic of Parham House gardens as dusk descends on this idyllic setting. With a glass of chilled Prosecco in hand, they will be able to stroll along the spectacular herbaceous boarders in the four-acre 18th century walled garden and admire the vegetable garden, the long greenhouse full of tender plants and the adjoining pleasure grounds. There will be live music in the walled garden from The Jazz Smugglers and head gardener Tom Brown will be there to talk to guests. Entry £5 per person with glasses of Prosecco and soft drinks available at an additional cost. Tickets will be available on the gate and the plant and garden shop will be open, selling more than 200 varieties of herbaceous perennials, all grown at Parham.
20-21 June - Sussex Game and Country Fair

8.30am-6pm. The Sussex Country Fair will once again grace the beautiful grounds of Parham Park, offering the perfect weekend getaway for field sports enthusiasts and families during the summer holiday. Highlights include the incredible IMPS Motorcycle Display Team, the Lamb National, Bob Hogg’s sheepdog display and Terry Large of Campaign for Falconry to name but a few. 20-27 June - Aegon International Tennis
Devonshire Park, Eastbourne
The Aegon International tournament returns to Devonshire Park this June, showcasing some of the world’s finest female tennis players as they prepare for Wimbledon.
The sunny seaside setting has played host to some of the legends of the game over its 41-year history, with previous champions including Martina Navratilova, Chris Evert, Virginia Wade, Monica Seles, Kim Clijsters and Lindsey Davenport.
