Brighton Fringe: Station'ry

Stationry, by Thoroughly Professional productions, premiered in Arundel last year in front of a sell out audience and comes to the Brighton Fringe this year..

Stationry is a comedy about two people who have become stuck in their routines. Tom, played by Simon Birks, buys, splits and sells companies for profit, working hard and having no time for a private life. Kat (Marielle Cottee) is a secretary in a company Tom is interested in, who, despite the poor pay and lack of inclusion from her colleagues, hasnt found anywhere better to go. When Tom turns up for a job interview, Kat greets him with her normal lack of interest, and despite Toms best efforts to improve their conversation, things go downhill fast. Over the course of the day, the pair meet two more times in different situations, each with unpredictable and riotous consequences.

The play is directed by Lin Jones and Simon Birks, and stars Marielle Cottee and Simon Birks. When not acting or writing, Simon and Marielle also run the Christmas shop of Arundel which they opened last August.
