David Salmon Furnishers has over 30 years’ experience bringing top quality furniture and original products to shoppers

The business is now run by the founder’s son, Paul Salmon, and has showrooms in Eastbourne and Cross in Hand. Paul continues with the same philosophy for the business, which has quality at its core and customer service always coming first.

The David Salmon furniture showroom at Cross in Hand specialises in the very finest British and European contemporary furniture. Visitors are offered a warm welcome and the opportunity to browse 20 stunning living and dining room sets displayed across two floors. This showroom is located in the heart of the Sussex Weald, just 25 minutes to the south of Tunbridge Wells with free, easy parking.

David Salmon at Cross in Hand is quite unique in only offering products made within the UK and Europe, meaning they offer authentic and unique products with true design ideals and good provenance. Many of the ranges are exclusive to David Salmon in the South East and for some; they are the only stockists in England. You are therefore guaranteed a different type of experience to the average furniture store because you will see designs not available elsewhere.

Paul says: “Since my return to the business, I realised that if we’re going to continue as a prominent, local, family firm, then we needed to move with the times and embrace new styles, brands and materials. We also needed to be confident about how people buy furniture.

“Yes, customers use the internet for research, but I think most people still want to actually see the furniture when they buy. We offer beautiful surroundings for customers to touch and try out the furniture and our professional staff are on hand to offer advice.

“Of course I appreciate the price has to be right, which is why we research what other retailers are offering to keep our furniture competitive.”
