Home to the Dukes of Richmond for over 300 years, Goodwood has a unique sporting heritage. Over the past two decades, Goodwood has built a reputation for delivering sport in a thrilling, creative and unconventional way and nowhere else in the world now offers its breadth of renowned sporting events.
Goodwood’s approach to food is a reflection of this passion for perfection, with its own organic Home Farm providing award winning Estate reared and rare breed meat, milk, cheeses, ales and lagers and the 12,000 acres an inspiration for foraging wild produce.
The surrounding small local producers and fishing boats complete this incredible range of raw ingredients.
The Richmond Arms, at the newly refurbished Goodwood Hotel at the heart of the Estate, takes the very best of local and Estate reared seasonal ingredients creating dishes with a true British flavour and very much of the region, reflecting the finest Sussex produce and executed with careful precision.
Simon Wills, new Head Chef at the Richmond Arms Restaurant, is delighted to be a part of the evolution of the historic restaurant, with a career spanning the buzzing brasseries of Paris and Michelin starred restaurants in France and England. He said of his move to The Richmond Arms: “What we want to do is create real, honest food, of the country and with a contemporary twist based on our wonderful ingredients.”
