Talented chef Andrew Wilson has returned to Ashdown Park Hotel & Country Club in the role of Executive Chef. After leaving Ashdown Park to build up his experience working in some of the finest restaurants, including Michelin-starred establishments, he has come back to the country house hotel at Wych Cross, near Forest Row, with exciting new ideas and a string of awards under his belt.

Set in an idyllic 186-acre parkland estate, Ashdown Park offers a host of dining experiences, from a quintessential English afternoon tea, relaxed bistro-style meal in the Fairways Lounge overlooking the golf course to a traditional Sunday lunch or gourmet eight-course tasting menu in the elegant two AA Rosette Anderida Restaurant overlooking the gardens, which is beautifully light by day and warm and cosy by evening candlelight.

Chef Wilson has created a tempting menu of signature dishes, which demonstrate creative twists on established classics. The menus change with the seasons and include a wide range of local produce from in and around Ashdown Forest, including fresh herbs from the garden.

Vegetarians are well catered for and younger diners have their very own menu with many featuring organic ingredients.

The same amount of attention has gone into the hotel’s wine list, one of just 231 around the country to be selected for the Notable Wine List accolade in the AA Wine Award 2011-12. The award recognises wine lists that are imaginative and inspire diners to try different wines and Ashdown Park’s cellar includes everything from established European vineyards, emerging New World wineries and award-winning English wines.

So whether you are looking for a family meal, somewhere to celebrate a special occasion or a culinary treat after a walk in the beautiful local countryside, Ashdown Park Hotel & Country Club caters for all tastes.
