Details on neck rejuvenation and what it can do for you

Neck rejuvenation

What is neck rejuvenation?

The first sub layer of skin called dermis contains elastin and collagen rich tissue. Under it is the layer of collagen and fat. Changes in body weight, natural ageing or excessive sun exposure can cause skin to sag. Neck rejuvenation, or a nonsurgical neck lift, is perfect for any patient with signs of ageing in the neck, whether mild or severe.

Am I a good candidate for this procedure?

People with lose hanging skin in the neck or jaw, or bands going down the neck or even excessive sun damaged skin are appropriate for this treatment.

What does this involve?

Injection of very small doses of muscle relaxant is particularly effective for neck bands. It takes less than 30 minutes with no downtime. The results could be from 2 days up to 2 weeks. Effects of thread lifting can last from 18 months to 2 years.

Superficial to medium peels helps improve texture and rebuilding collagen. Best results are obtained from multiple sessions over a period of time. Each session lasts from 30 minutes to an hour. Superficial peels can even be done in your lunch break. Medium peels may have a downtime of a few days but not necessarily.

What results will I see and how long will the treatment last?

Botulinum toxin can last up to 4 months. Results of thread lifting can be visible from 6 weeks and lasts for 18 months to 2 years. Skin peels provide immediate improvement in skin texture. Maintenance of treatment can improve fine lines and texture.

Removal of moles or skin tags

What is the procedure for removal of moles or skin tags?

Any treatment should be undertaken after a proper assessment. They can be removed by radio frequency treatment or shaving. The choice depends on the type and position of the skin lesion.

Are there any risks involved with this treatment?

A small skin tag removal may have no downtime. For others there can be minor swelling, bruises and some tenderness during the natural process of healing.
