Buckswood Football Academy player, Archie Davies, 15 is gearing up for a professional trial for Premiership side Crystal Palace this week.

Despite fierce opposition from several clubs Archie chose Palace as his first option stating ‘ Palace was always the club for me, Jim ( Academy Manager Jim Colston) has developed my game and has kept faith in me. I believe Crystal Palace will allow me to express myself and develop me further to realise my dream of being a pro footballer’

Since joining the Buckswood Football Academy six months ago, Archie’s playing career has gone from strength to strength, under the watchful eye of Academy Director, Jim Colston. Archie represents Sussex Schools u15s and also captains the school u15 side. The Buckswood Football Academy allows it’s budding young players to combine top flight training with their academic studies, and uses the latest football training technology to develop the players.

Academy Manager Jim Colston said of Archie ‘ Archie is a unique talent who needs to be allowed to express himself on the pitch, Crystal Palace Academy will allow him to do that , and everyone at the school wishes him the best of luck in the next step of his football career’.
