There will be demonstrations throughout the day of tasks the Charity’s assistance dogs carry out for their disabled partners, such as dressing and undressing, fetching the telephone, picking up dropped items, taking clothing in and out of the washing machine and calling for help in an emergency.

Dogs on leads are also welcome to take part in a fun Dog Show where there will be novelty classes and Best in Show, with rosettes to fifth place.

Holly Bryan, regional fundraiser at Canine Partners, said: “We are hoping lots of people will join us to support our annual Summer Show.

“There will be lots to do such as taking part in our Dog Show, having a go on our human fruit machine, bouncy castle, raffle, bungee, trampoline and tombola, as well as the chance to visit our arts and crafts stands, plant stall and enjoy some refreshments and a BBQ.

“Some of our dogs and puppies in training will be there, tails wagging ready to say hello and demonstrate some of the amazing tasks they do for their partners.

“All in all it is set to be a fabulous event for the whole family, while giving much needed support to our work helping people with disabilities.”

Money raised from the event will go towards train more assistance dogs for people with physical disabilities in the Charity’s 25th anniversary year.

Entry is £2.00 per adult and £50p per person on the day.
