Shoreham’s Ropetackle Arts Centre is gearing up for a jam-packed autumn programme full of amazing music, comedy, theatre, talks, family shows and more.

• Sixties rock band The Pretty Things (Nov 29)

• Comedy from Mark Thomas (Dec 9)

• Blistering blues from Joanne Shaw Taylor (Oct 10) and King King (Nov 7)

• An evening with philosopher A.C. Grayling (Oct 1)

• Folk from Bellowhead co-founder John Spiers (Oct 22), the Peatbog Faeries (Oct 23), The Copper Family (Dec 11) and Eliza Carthy (Dec 13)

• African music delights from kora master Seckou Keita (Sep 26)

• 80s new wave outfit China Crisis (Sept 25)

• A thought-provoking play about the civil rights movement (Oct 6)

• A series of films focusing on Matisse (Sept 15), Rembrandt (Oct 13), and Van Gogh (Nov 10)

• Jazz from Ian Shaw (Oct 16)

• Average White Band guitarist Hamish Stuart (Oct 30)

• Tex Mex music from Paul Young with Los Pacaminos (Nov 14)

• Family fun from Christmas pantomime Jack & The Beanstalk! (Dec 20 – Jan 3)
