More than 250 people came together for the inaugural East Sussex Women of the Year Luncheon, sponsored by American Express.
The event, whose honorary patron this year is HRH The Duchess of Cornwall, showcased the enterprise and inspiration of women working in professional and voluntary roles and their contribution to East Sussex.
Guests at the event, held at the East Sussex National Golf Resort in Uckfield, included High Sheriffs, Former Mayors, Chairs of carers organisations, Chairs of music festivals, Former and Vice Lord Lieutenants, Barristers, Headmistresses, CEOs of charities, businesswomen, voluntary group leaders, artists, writers and medical professionals.
Representatives from American Express included members of its Womens Interest Network, which aims to create opportunities for women to pursue their professional and personal development and to generate a dialogue around womens issues and interests.
As part of the event, guests supported the fundraising campaign for cancer research at the oncology department at the Brighton & Sussex Medical School.
