Davison’s owner, South Downs Leisure, in partnership with Davison School and West Sussex County Council, invested a combined £50,000 for refurbishment of the leisure sites’ four multi-use tennis courts.

Lynda Nurse, Business Development Director for all five South Downs Leisure sites, said:

“We are delighted to offer improved tennis facilities for all our users at Davison, including our FIT4 members. Other sports and fitness activities are well-catered for, but the tennis courts needed to be bought up-to-date to meet growing local demand.”

Davison Leisure Centre, located in the eastern quarter of Worthing, is now the only site with tennis courts, as other local sites are in a state of ill-repair or closed. The secure, floodlit, courts have benefitted from new reinforced surfacing, nets, posts, rebound boards and drainage, as well as new clever lineage for more flexible use.

Mark Haggart, Davison Leisure Centre Manager, said:

“We have a fantastic state-of-the-art gym, fitness classes and now, four new tennis courts that have been cleverly designed to incorporate two netball courts, two 5-a-side football pitches and four junior netball pitches. We now offer more fitness solutions locally than ever before.”

For your game, set and match at the new facilities, book your court by calling 01903 905050, or visit: www.southdownsleisure.co.uk for more information.
