Enjoy a family day out this spring and take the kids to one of these 5 fantastic children’s farms in Sussex.
Lambs, kids and chicks are expected at the end of March – children can watch them feed and also bound around the large indoor and outdoor play areas.
Spring Barn Farm, Lewes
Bottle-feed lambs in the barn, lark about on the outdoor play equipment, and if it’s damp, you can all retreat indoors to the huge play area or café.
Fishers Farm Park, Billingshurst
Witness lambs being delivered, help the carers bottle-feed them and also see piglets, kids and other furry friends in the Animal Encounters Barn at this vast play farm.
Seven Sisters Sheep Centre, East Dean
This centre tucked into the Downs has the UK’s largest private sheep collection. Drop in for daily bottle-feeding at 11.30am and 3.30pm throughout March and April.
Combes Farm Experience, Lancing
With 800 ewes lambing through March, 80 Sussex cows calving plus tractor rides, photo opportunities abound at this 1,000 acre downland farm.
