Plumpton College Open Day - Saturday May 10

There will be courses and careers advice, apprenticeships information, business training and an exciting selection of practical displays. The displays and demonstrations highlight the wide range of Landbased vocational courses, training qualifications and skills available at Plumpton College.

Some 10,000 visitors are expected to experience the wide range of College provision.

Open Day is a great day out. It includes children’s activities, estate tours by tractor/trailer, a range of large and small animals, college farm and dairy displays, woodland walks, shearing demonstrations, dog showing, hard landscaping displays, tree climbing skills, horse riding displays, a climbing wall, working forges, marvellous machinery, garden designs, falconry, countryside events, game management displays, dog grooming, craft and trade fair.

At Open Day there will be sales of local foods and refreshments, bedding plants, jewellery designs, hanging baskets, floral arrangements, metalsmithing projects, woodwork, estate produced charcoal, vegetable plants, crafts and more! Plumpton Estate wines, carefully crafted by staff and students, will be available for sale.

The College’s Wine Department is hosting wine tasting sessions between 11am and 2pm.

Open day, Plumpton College, Saturday 10th May 10am-5pm.

Admission: £5 adult, £3 senior, free admission for those aged 16 and under.
